Lyfe Computer Technologies (Pty) Ltd (“Lyfe”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use lyfecomputertechnologies.co.za, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

Information we collect

  • Order and account details: name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and your order history.
  • Enquiries: the details you send us through our contact form, email, WhatsApp or “Notify me” stock alerts.
  • Payment information: card payments are processed by Paystack. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Website data: technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies.

How we use your information

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including warranty and returns.
  • To reply to enquiries and quote requests.
  • To email you when a product you asked about is back in stock (only for that product).
  • To prevent fraud and keep our website secure.
  • To send marketing messages, but only if you have agreed to receive them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with service providers who need it to do their job, and they must keep it confidential:

  • Paystack, to process payments.
  • The Courier Guy (or another courier), to deliver your order.
  • Our suppliers (such as Syntech) where needed to fulfil your order or a warranty claim.
  • Our website hosting and email providers.

We do not sell your personal information. We will disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies to keep your cart and login working, remember your preferences and understand how the site is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the shop, such as the cart and checkout, may not work without them.

How long we keep it

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and consumer law requires (generally five years). Other information is kept only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for, and then deleted or anonymised.

How we protect it

Our website uses an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, access to customer data is limited to staff who need it, and payments are handled by Paystack’s secure, PCI-compliant platform.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct or delete it, or to stop using it for marketing. Email lyfe@lyfe-computertechnologies.co.za and we will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa): inforegulator.org.za.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
